Booking a room

Bronze, Silver and Gold Studios at Student Castle Reading are available on 51-week contracts from 13 September 2025. See below for a full list of room options for the 2025/26 academic year, and visit the Student Castle website for the latest room availability and pricing information.

Booking your room couldn’t be easier! You can only make a booking through the easy-to-use and secure booking system on the Student Castle site – simply select your chosen residence and the room you want and then follow the steps.

Student Castle asks for an advance rent payment (£100 to £300 depending on the location) to allocate you a room. For properties in England, this will be deducted from the first instalment or payment, which is due before the tenancy start date. For properties in Scotland, this will deducted from the first instalment or payment due on the tenancy start date. If, having secured a room, you need to cancel your booking, the Capitol Students site has details of the cancellation policy for residents in England and Scotland.

Once you’ve paid your advance rent, you will be allocated a room and receive an email with instructions on how to complete the booking process. (Please note, there is a ten-day deadline to accept your room offer and sign your licence agreement electronically.)
